Child Care Programs:

Birth to Three

Our commitment to children has been on-going for eight decades which is a testament to Easter Seals experience in providing supportive programs serving the needs of families.  Easter Seals is an approved provider to the Connecticut Birth to Three System and uses a Best Practice approach to Early Intervention by empowering parents to act as their child’s principal teacher.  The Easter Seals Intervention Specialists work as a team to meet the child’s and family needs though an individualized, well-planned developmental and education approach designed to promote positive results ensuring a smooth transition to preschool or a community program as the third birthday approaches.

 Head Start

Head Start is the only national program of its kind that utilizes a comprehensive service approach to early childhood education.  The Head Start program is based on the premise that all children share certain needs, and that children of low-income families in particular can benefit from a comprehensive program of services and support.

These comprehensive services include three major areas of concentration: Health, Nutrition & Disabilities Services, Early Childhood Development, and Family & Community Partnerships.
